MusicDisplay
by unnsense
With MusicDisplay, the Spotify track playing on a player's account appears inside the game, with its title, artist, album art and a progress bar.
What it does
Whatever Spotify track is playing appears on screen with its title, artist, cover art and a progress bar that moves in real time. Players can pause, resume, skip forward or rewind through the current track without leaving Minecraft, and can adjust the volume or change tracks while staying in the game.
Search covers songs and playlists and is run from the mod's own screen, so a track can be started from inside Minecraft. Music playback begins right away after a selection. The Spotify module is enabled in the client GUI, and the mod runs on the client alone, so a server needs nothing installed.
MusicDisplay is built for Fabric and targets 1.21.4 – 26.2, with builds for 1.21.4, 1.21.5, 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2 and 26.2. The latest file is 2.6.1 for 26.2, published on 2026-10-13. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and its source code is public. Snapshot builds are not part of the published files.

Showing the current track

Who it’s for: Players who use Spotify on the same computer as Minecraft and want its playback inside the game client. The mod does not change anything on servers.
How it compares
Spotify-controls is an open source client mod under the MIT License for 1.21 – 1.21.11 and does not require a server. Simple Spotify Controller is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and published for 1.21.1, so it covers a single version. Spoty Widget is open source under the MIT License for 1.21 – 26.3, with a widget style rather than a full playback overlay.
