What it does

Musica is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.16.5 – 1.19 that expands the game's music with new discs. Crafting a Song Mixer is the first step; the actual discs then need Blank Discs, which come from smelting Sticky Discs in a furnace. Placing a Sticky Disc in the Song Mixer together with a dye produces a chosen Music Disc.

Fabric API is required, and the mod runs in the client and server environment, so the server and every player need it. Its files cover 1.16.5, 1.17.1, 1.18.2 and 1.19, with 1.5.3 for 1.19 as the latest file, released under the MIT License and open source. The source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Song Mixer block

A block that combines a Sticky Disc with a dye to craft one of the Music Discs added by the mod.

  2. 35 new Music Discs

Discs with songs by artists such as Dire Straits, Gwyd, Kaz, Lost Angel and John Denver, with credits in a set order.

  3. Blank Disc smelting

Blank Discs are made by smelting Sticky Discs in a furnace, and they are required before any new disc can be crafted.

  4. Music Disc crafting choice

Players pick which song to craft from the Song Mixer, so the discs are not obtained at random.
