Music Viewer
by Equitice
Music Viewer puts a compact now-playing HUD inside Minecraft that follows whatever music the PC is playing.
What it does
When something is playing on the computer, a small pill appears in the corner of the screen showing the current song title and artist. Clicking the pill expands it into a full card with album art, a seek bar with timestamps, and a play/pause button. The HUD can be dragged to any position on the screen, and it hides itself again when nothing is playing.
The mod reads the current media session through the native Windows media detection API, so it only works on Windows. It is a Fabric mod, and the environment is client-side only: a server does not need to install it, and players join a server without it. Install it by placing the jar in the mods folder of the .minecraft directory.
Music Viewer is released under the MIT License and is not open source. Files are published for Fabric only, for 15 release versions 1.21 – 26.1.2, and the latest Fabric file is 1.0.0+mc26.1.2 for 26.1.2, dated 2026-07-14. The mod was first published on 2026-07-12 and last updated on 2026-07-14.
