MultiCam records a Minecraft world from several camera angles at once, opening a separate window for each camera's point of view on Fabric.

FabricClient required, server optionalMozilla Public License 2.0Open source1.21.1

What it does

Each camera runs in its own window and shows the view from its position in the world. A camera is moved with the movement keys, steered with the mouse, and zoomed with the mouse wheel. Closing a camera closes its window. The default camera window aims for 60 FPS without vsync, and the target can be changed with a command. Rendering runs on a single thread, so each extra window costs a slight amount of FPS; spare idle CPU cores and free RAM give better results when the client is launched separately.

The mod suits players who want to record several angles of one world without setting up servers or alternate accounts. Its camera windows can be used on a singleplayer world or a server, and a server can restrict the feature with permission level 2 and the multicam.use permission. MultiCam requires Fabric API and oωo (owo-lib). It is released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, is open source, and is published for Fabric only, for 1.21.1. Players need the mod, while the server may add it for extra control.

Questions

Does MultiCam need Fabric API?

Yes. Fabric API is a required dependency, and oωo (owo-lib) is required as well. Both must be installed with MultiCam.

Does a server need MultiCam installed?

No. Only players need the mod; a server can add it for extra control but does not have to run it.

Why can the camera windows lower the frame rate?

Rendering runs on a single thread, so each window carries a slight FPS penalty. Idle CPU cores and free RAM help when the client is launched separately.

What the author says

!!! We do not support running without Sodium. You will need all the FPS you can get anyway. Record multiple camera angles of your world without hassle, setting up servers, alt accounts, and on a tight RAM budget.
