More Than A Foxbox
Players who want plush animal blocks for their builds can add More Than A Foxbox, a Fabric mod that places plushies of mobs in the world.
What it does
Plushies are crafted at a Sewing Table block, which takes a shell item, usually wool in the matching color, a filler item, usually the Polyfill item, and an essence item that the plushie is based on. Built-in plushies include the Snow Fox and the Red Fox, and the mod is data-driven, so server owners and pack makers can create custom plushies through configuration files.
Placed plushies can be upgraded with Speakers and Squeakers, which play mob sounds or squeaker sounds, and they react to redstone by sending comparator outputs and playing sounds when powered. Plushies can be set to one of three poses on the ground, crouching, sitting or standing, and a Cardboard Box made from Cardboard items adds a fourth pose.
The mod is published for Fabric only, covering 1.21.8 – 26.3 across nine release versions, and it requires Fabric API. The code is open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, and both the source code and the issue tracker are public. Client and server share the same install, so the server and every player need the mod.
