More Than Apples

More Than Apples adds new apples, carrots and a set of biomes to a Fabric world, with stronger versions of the golden foods and effects that players can eat.
What it does
The mod introduces two new apples and two new carrots. Eating the Green Apple gives the Luck effect, while fishing is the only way to get the Test Apple. Eating the Call Apple gives its own special effect, which lets a player fish apples from anywhere.
Some of the stronger items can be crafted, while the rarer enchanted versions are found only in loot chests and structures. A new set of biomes provides places to find the foods, with trees and groves such as the Golden Apple Orchard and the Frosty Apple Grove, and an Apple Barrel is crafted from planks and apples. New advancements track progress through the content.
More Than Apples requires Fabric API and TerraBlender. The biome generation depends on TerraBlender, so both must be installed alongside the mod on Fabric. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files cover 1.21.1 – 26.3 on Fabric, and the latest file is mta-1.3.2 for 26.3, published on 2026-09-23. The code is open source under the MIT License.

Stronger golden foods
The Diamond and Netherite apples and the Diamond Carrot grant buffs stronger than the vanilla Golden Apple and Golden Carrot.
Netherite protection effects
The Netherite Apple extends resistance and regeneration and adds protection against Darkness, Slowness, Mining Fatigue and Freezing.
Call Apple
Eating the Call Apple gives a special effect that allows fishing apples from anywhere.
New biomes and trees
A biome set adds apple trees, groves and orchards, including the Golden Apple Tree and the Frosty Tree.
Loot-only enchanted apples
The Enchanted Diamond Apple and Enchanted Netherite Apple are found only in loot chests and structures, so they cannot be crafted.
