More Profiling
by settingdust
More Profiling exposes extra profiling events, including JFR-based recording of Minecraft's internal work, for diagnosing slow game sessions.
What it does
The mod records additional events while the game runs, so a profile can show where time goes during resource reloading, world loading and other startup or runtime steps. Its options are off by default and are switched on in the mod's config file. Some of them, such as debug reloader profiling of data packs and resource packs, need a second option to be enabled before any data is produced. Recording can also be started with the Java Flight Recorder bundled with Minecraft Java, and the profiler output can be redirected into JFR events.
The mod can also disable unused pack entries and registry entries, for example entities that cause lag, and it can suppress the profiling information json output when that output is not wanted. It is published for Fabric, Forge and Quilt across 11 release versions, 1.20 – 1.21.3, and requires Fabric Language Kotlin and Sinytra Connector. Either side can run it, and neither needs it. The code is open source under the MIT License.
