What it does

Moose Gen overhauls the overworld biomes. Vanilla trees are replaced with taller versions that have more varied shapes, and the ground cover is more diverse across the biomes. Grass, water and fog colors are changed, giving the overworld a different look while the game keeps its existing terrain rules.

Several biomes are themed after North American national parks, and the desert biomes are made to resemble the deserts of the American Southwest. The mod is focused on the overworld and adds no new items or dimensions.

Installation needs Fabric API on Fabric, and the mod is distributed as a Fabric mod for 1.21.9 – 26.3. Only the server needs it, so players can join a server that runs Moose Gen without installing it. Snapshot builds are published, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
