Mod Menu Command
by bleudev
Mod Menu Command lets players open the configuration screen of any installed mod with a single command, and adds two new commands for the task.
What it does
The mod provides commands that open the mods list, or the configuration screen of one specific mod, from the chat line. The two commands cover both cases, so a player can reach a settings page without opening the mods screen first. It runs on the client only, so a server does not need to install it, and players join a server without any change.
Installation needs Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin and Mod Menu. The files target Fabric alone and cover 1.20 – 26.3 across 24 release versions, with snapshot builds published as well. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
The first version was published on 2025-12-05, and the latest Fabric file, 3.0+26.3 for 26.3, was posted on 2026-09-20. Because the mod only adds chat commands, it leaves the rest of the game's behavior and the mods it configures unchanged.
Key features
Open the mods list
One command opens the list of installed mods, so the mods screen is reachable from chat.
Open a mod's config
A second command opens the configuration screen of a chosen mod directly.
Client-side operation
Everything runs on the player's side, so the commands work on any server without a server-side install.
Built on Mod Menu
The configuration screens come from Mod Menu, so only mods that expose a config screen can be opened.

Use cases
Quick settings access
Players who change options often can jump to a mod's settings from the chat line instead of navigating menus.
Modpack testing
Authors who tune several mods in one pack can reach each config screen by name while testing.
Who it’s for: Players of Fabric modpacks who want to reach mod settings from chat, and modpack authors who test several configuration screens during development.
How it compares
Command Hotkeys is client-side only, open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, and published for 1.21.5 – 26.2, so it covers a different version span. TabRenamer is client and server, open source under the Apache License 2.0, and published only for 1.20.1. FabPose is server-side only, open source under the MIT License and published for 1.20.1 – 26.3, so it is not a client utility. Mod Menu Command shares the MIT License and client-side environment of Command Hotkeys but targets a different set of versions.
