Mod Manager, a Fabric mod for managing mods from inside the game, adds a Mod Menu extension for browsing, installing, removing and updating mods.

What it does

Players open the Mod Menu screen and use the Mod Manager extension to handle their mods without leaving the game. From there they can browse projects on Modrinth, install a mod with a button press, and remove or update installed mods the same way. When an update is available, a small toast notification appears in the right corner of the screen.

The list of mods shown is filtered to the Minecraft version in use, so only compatible projects are offered. Files are published for Fabric alone, for Minecraft 1.16, 1.17, 1.17.1, 1.18 and 1.18.2, with 1.2.3+1.18.2 for 1.18.2 as the latest build from 2022-03-09. The mod runs on the client only, so servers do not need it. Fabric Language Kotlin and Mod Menu must be installed alongside it.

The code is released under the Apache License 2.0, and the source code, issue tracker and wiki are public. The mod was first published on 2021-06-14 and last updated on 2022-03-09. Snapshot builds have also been published.
