Mob Lassos

With Mob Lassos, a player crafts a lasso and uses it to carry most mobs elsewhere in the inventory, without leads or animal food.
What it does
Each lasso tier defines which mobs it can catch. The golden lasso takes land animals, the aquatic lasso takes water animals, and the diamond lasso takes every animal and keeps its hold without a timer. The emerald lasso catches villagers, but only those who accept a contract first. A hostile lasso catches monsters that are below half health, and a captured monster keeps biting the holder while the lasso is carried. A captured mob escapes after a set time unless the lasso carries the holding enchantment, which extends the duration.
Mob Lassos requires Puzzles Lib, Fabric API on Fabric, and Forge Config API Port on Fabric. The mod runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files covering the range above and the latest Fabric and NeoForge builds dated 2026-09-24. It is released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
