Miner's Helmet
With Miner's Helmet, a helmet provides a light source that moves with the player through dark caves and underwater areas.
What it does
The helmet adds light wherever the player looks in dark areas such as caves, Ancient City rooms and underwater trenches, which helps players find a path. Mobs can also spawn wearing or holding mining gear: zombies, husks and villagers are equipped with iron pickaxes and mining helmets, and a config option turns this off. Miners and the mob spawn tag mining helmet:miner are part of the same content.
The helmet is set to become available once a player obtains a lantern, so it is crafted after that step. Installation runs on both Forge and NeoForge, and Miner's Helmet is set to client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for 1.16.5, 1.19 – 1.19.4, 1.20.4, 1.21.4, 1.21.7, 1.21.8 and 26.1.2, and the latest NeoForge build targets 26.1.2. The code is closed, and All rights reserved applies.

How it compares
Digger Helmet is for Forge and NeoForge on 1.20.1, under the MIT License, and is not open source. Headlight is also for Forge and NeoForge, covers 1.20.1 – 26.1.2 and is open source under the MIT License, so it can be read or modified. Mining Helmet is a Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt mod for 1.21 – 1.21.6 that is server required and client optional, which differs from Miner's Helmet, where both sides need it.

What the author says
A mod that simply adds a helmet with dynamic lighting. This is a very simple mod that just adds a mining helmet that lights up your way in dark areas such as caves and ravines. Zombies can spawn with Iron Pickaxes, and mining helmets. There’s a config option to disable this.
