Dungeons Artifacts

by Diesse

Dungeons Artifacts is a datapack that brings Minecraft Dungeons style artifacts into the world, each with a cooldown that players recharge over time.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalCC0 1.0 Universal1.21 – 1.21.3

What it does

Artifacts are obtained through commands, which makes it simple to test them in a world. Each artifact has a cooldown, adapted from Minecraft Dungeons and balanced for vanilla Minecraft, so a player cannot rely on one ability alone. Typing a command in chat lists the artifacts available in the pack.

The datapack targets players who want a stronger adventure or strategy layer on top of survival. Artifacts offer new ways to deal with enemies, and the recharge time makes their use a matter of timing and preparation. Players who lean toward attacking at the front, protecting themselves or planning an escape will find artifacts suited to different styles of play.

Only the server needs to run the datapack, and players may leave it out and still join. It is released under CC0 1.0 Universal and is not open source. Files exist for Minecraft 1.21 – 1.21.3 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with 1.21.3 as the latest release, published as a beta on 2024-11-19.

Key features

  1. Cooldown-based artifacts

Each artifact recharges after use, so players plan around when it can be triggered again.

  2. Difficulty-scaled recharge

Higher difficulty lengthens the recharge time, which keeps the challenge continuous.

  3. Command-based access

Artifacts can be given through commands, so they suit testing and experimentation.

  4. Varied playstyles

The artifact set covers attack, defense and escape, letting players choose tactics that fit how they fight.
