MIDWUT

by Antoha256M

MIDWUT is a datapack core library for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt that server owners and other datapack authors can build on, with a crafting station and a helper dimension included.

FabricNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalApache License 2.01.21.6 – 1.21.11

What it does

The mod ships a datapack core library. Some datapacks need it to work at all, and others can copy functions and tags from it when a source is named. It adds a MIDWUT Crafting Station, and its own empty dimension, midwut:main, is provided for datapack use. Reference functions and a help folder document how the library's functions are called, and test functions show them in action.

The server must run the mod, while players may leave it out, so only the server needs it. Files cover Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt for game versions 1.21.6 – 1.21.11, and the latest build, 2.2.0+mod for 1.21.11, was released on 2026-02-05. The code is under the Apache License 2.0, but the project is not open source. The mod is first published on 2024-02-12 and was last updated on the same date as the newest file.

The mod also works as a Data pack for server platforms. Its required core library is named in the datapack and must be present for dependent datapacks to load. The same wide variety of function tags and add-ons can be used by any datapack that references them.

  3. Reusable function tags

Offers a set of function tags that other datapacks can copy or reference when a source is specified.

Includes its own empty dimension, midwut:main, for datapacks that need an isolated space.

What the author says

The datapack is the core and library. The core, because some datapacks completely need it. A library, because if desired, you can copy some functions or tags to your datapack, this is allowed, but specify the source. The main technical instructions for using the help functions are found in the functions themselves.
