MetaSuits

by dxtintx

MetaSuits lets players equip custom 3D armor, hats and accessories built from Blockbench models, and its files cover 1.21.1 – 1.21.11 on NeoForge.

NeoForgeClient and serverMIT License1.21.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

Players drop Blockbench model files in the metasuits folder, either as plain .json or .model.json models or as composite .suit.json definitions that combine several 3D models with 2D textures. A custom armor set can therefore be assembled from parts. Textures are read as .png files, so no OptiFine CIT setup or complex resource pack is needed.

Installation covers the server and each player's game. Multiplayer works on a server, LAN or singleplayer world. Files are published for NeoForge only, across 11 release versions 1.21.1 – 1.21.11, under the MIT License, and the code is not open source.

Players open the GUI to choose which suit to wear, and a 3D preview of the player rotates and turns its head to follow the mouse cursor. A toggle hides the standard vanilla helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots with one click while the armor defense stats stay in place. Client-side fallback hiding is also included.

Key features

  1. Custom 3D armor and cosmetics

Equip 3D Blockbench models as hats, helmets, armor pieces and accessories with 1:1 precision.

  2. Composite armor sets

Combine several 3D models and 2D textures into one full custom armor set using .suit.json files.

  3. Live GUI selection

Choose a suit in the GUI and use Refresh GUI to reload files instantly, without restarting Minecraft.

  4. Interactive 3D player preview

The selection screen shows the player in 3D, rotating and turning the head to follow the mouse cursor.

  5. Vanilla armor hiding

A single click hides the standard armor pieces while keeping their defense stats, so a custom suit can replace them visually.
