Mech Trowel

Players build palettes of up to 28 blocks each and set the percentage at which each block is chosen, so placed surfaces look varied rather than uniform. The palette list holds 25 ready-made options, and holding ALT switches between palettes quickly. Blending between several palettes produces gradual transitions across a build.

Rotation settings lock blocks to chosen faces, which controls how stairs and slabs are placed. Replace mode swaps existing blocks instead of filling empty space, and it can be limited to certain blocks or turned off completely in the config. Wand mode places blocks drawn from the active palettes, matching how other building wands behave: up to 64 per action, or 128 with the upgrade item, and the last three actions can be reversed. Offhand use lets a second item such as grass block take the place of palette blocks.

The mod works with the shulker boxes and backpacks of Sophisticated Backpacks and with JEI and Curios. It also works with Create Copycats+ and FramedBlocks blocks. Installation needs nothing beyond the loader, and the mod runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across six release versions, 1.20.1 – 26.1.2, and the code is licensed as All rights reserved, which means the mod is not open source.
