Manhunt

With Manhunt, one player becomes the hunter and tracks the other runners through both the Nether and the Overworld.
What it does
The mod is a minigame built on a datapack that implements a simple manhunt game. Tracking uses compasses that point toward the runners, and the minimum tracking distance controls how close a runner must be before the compass goes erratic. A start delay of 45 can be changed to any value, and a scoreboard can be removed.
Manhunt is distributed both as a datapack and as a mod for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. Because the datapack form works without a loader, it is compatible with Realms. Server owners need the mod on the server, while players may add it to their clients for the same features. Builds cover 1.17 – 26.3, with snapshot builds published alongside the releases, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
