MagicUtils
by THEROER
MagicUtils is a modular toolkit library that gives Minecraft server mod and plugin developers shared building blocks for configuration, commands, logging and placeholders.
What it does
Developers write a plugin or mod once against the MagicUtils API, and the library handles the per-platform wiring for Bukkit, Paper, Folia, Velocity, BungeeCord and Fabric or NeoForge. The shared runtime registers a magicutils command with a diagnostics suite, and a runtime self-check exposed through mu verify reports whether the shared runtime is healthy.
The toolkit covers commands declared through annotations with Brigadier support, configuration mapped to typed objects with a choice of YAML or TOML storage, a per-scope language and messages system, a structured logger with a fluent builder, a placeholder engine that bridges PlaceholderAPI and MiniPlaceholders, and a small HTTP client for web services. Other plugins and mods can depend on MagicUtils instead of shading it into their own jars.
Files are published for Fabric, Quilt and NeoForge across 23 release versions, 1.20 – 26.2, and the server platforms listed above are supported as well. MagicUtils is open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0.
Key features
Annotation-based commands
A declarative command engine with Brigadier support handles arguments, sender types and permissions from annotations.
Type-safe configuration
Configuration maps to typed objects, with YAML and TOML backends available.
Language and placeholders
Messages resolve per scope, and a placeholder engine bridges PlaceholderAPI and MiniPlaceholders.
Runtime self-check
The mu verify command runs a diagnostics suite that reports whether the shared runtime is healthy.

How it compares
MiniPlaceholders is an open source placeholder library for Fabric and Quilt, covering 1.7.2 – 26.2 under the Apache License 2.0, and it provides placeholders only, not the wider toolkit. Truly Modular: Modular Item API is a Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt library for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 released under a custom license. HungerBridge is a server-side only mod for Fabric and Quilt, open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
