Magical Campfires

by YeahAkis_

Magical Campfires is a Fabric mod that makes campfires and soul campfires restore health to players who stand close to them.

FabricMIT LicenseOpen source1.18 – 26.1.1

What it does

Players standing near a campfire or soul campfire receive gradual health regeneration, so a lit fire becomes a place to recover between fights or while travelling. The effect is a healing mechanic added to the campfire blocks rather than a separate item or command, and it applies to both the regular and the soul variants.

The mod is aimed at survival worlds and adventure play, and it suits server owners who want to add immersive healing around fires. It is also customizable, so the healing behaviour can be adjusted to fit a particular world. Fabric API is required, and the mod runs on Fabric with 29 release versions, the latest being 2.2 for 26.1.1. The code is open source under the MIT License.

Because the healing comes from the campfire blocks, a server can run the mod alongside Paper, Spigot, Bukkit, Purpur or Folia as well, since those platforms are listed as supported on the same project page.

Key features

  1. Campfire healing

Players near a campfire or soul campfire regenerate health gradually while they stay within range of the fire.

  2. Soul campfire support

Both normal and soul campfires provide the healing effect, so either fire type can serve as a rest point.

  3. Customizable effect

The healing behaviour can be adjusted, letting a world or server set how the campfires restore health.

  4. Immersive survival healing

Healing around fires gives survival and roleplay servers a way to add recovery without potions or food.
