Locate adds a search bar to the Language Selection screen, so players can find a language among hundreds of options by typing part of its name or code.

What it does

Typing in the search bar filters the language list instantly. A match can be the original local name of a language, its English name, its international code such as en or fr, or a keyword. A search for Deutsch, Español or Français finds the matching language, and a short code narrows the list in the same way.

The mod is a lightweight client-side addition that changes only the Settings screen where languages are chosen. It needs Fabric API and Language Reload, and it works alongside Language Reload without changing the default Minecraft interface. Builds are published for Fabric only, for 1.20.1 – 1.21.11 across seven release versions, under the MIT License; the code is not open source in the sense of a copyleft license.

Does Locate need Language Reload?

Yes. Language Reload is a required dependency, and Fabric API is required as well. Both must be installed next to Locate on Fabric.

Which Minecraft versions does Locate support?

Builds exist for 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3, 1.20.4, 1.20.5, 1.20.6 and 1.21.11. The latest file, 1.0.0+1.21.11, is for 1.21.11 and is on the beta channel.

Does the server need Locate?
