Loading Profiler
by LightLand
Loading Profiler measures where game startup time goes, splitting the bootstrap into stages and reporting the time each mod takes to load.
What it does
The mod profiles the game bootstrap on Forge and NeoForge, timing each phase from vanilla setup and mod initialization through services, mod scanning, the launch plugin working stage, and the transformer class loader. Game loading is divided into three primary phases, and the Forge mod loader breaks them into 17 stages because several of those stages significantly alter mixins. The result is a per-mod breakdown of loading time, which helps identify the cause of a slow start.
The profiler is meant for analysis rather than play. It can break down loading time for each mod based on code usage, resource loading, block models and mixins, and it also covers loading existing worlds. Because of how intrusive it is, it is not compatible with some mods during world load. Only the profiling purpose is intended, so it is useful to install it when investigating startup problems and to remove it afterward.
Either side can run Loading Profiler, and neither needs it. It is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, is open source, and is published for Forge and NeoForge in two release versions, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1.
Key features
Startup timing by stage
Each stage of the bootstrap is timed separately, so a slow phase can be located quickly.
Per-mod loading time
Loading time is broken down for each mod, based on code usage, resource loading, block models and mixins.
Parallel task tracking
Tasks collected in a phase are executed in parallel, and the profile records how long each one takes.
Service and scan timing
Service initialization and mod scanning are measured, showing where early loading time is spent.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Who it’s for: Modpack authors and server owners who need to find which part of a long game startup takes the most time.
How it compares
LightSpeedRe is client-side only and open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, with files for Forge and NeoForge across 1.20.1 – 1.21.1. CrossTie is a Forge mod for 1.7.10 that is client required and server optional, under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only. Loading Profiler works on either side, and neither side needs it, with builds for the same 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 versions.

What the author says
This mod provides game loading time break down and per-mod loading time. The analysis of loading time is purely based on code usage, so resource loading (block models), mixins, and fabric mods (if you use sinytra) will be calculated as part of vanilla loading time.
