Literal Sky Block Fabric

by TakiSpl

Literal Sky Block Fabric adds a sky block, a void block and a vantablack block, each with its own look and behavior, for Fabric and Quilt in 1.18.2 – 1.19.2.

FabricQuiltClient and serverGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.18.2 – 1.19.2

What it does

The sky block lets players see the sky through it, so it can be placed as a window onto the open air above a build. The void block has an effect similar to the End portal, and the vantablack block is completely solid black. The three blocks come together in one package, and redstone power can switch the sky block and void block off.

The mod runs on the client and server, so both the server and every player need it. It requires Fabric API on either loader. Builds exist for 1.18.2 and 1.19.2, and the code is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, so the source is open. The author notes that a mod such as EMI can show the crafting recipes for the blocks.

Key features

  1. Sky block

A block that shows the sky through its surface, usable as a window onto open air.

  2. Void block

A block with an effect similar to the End portal, which redstone can turn off.

  3. Vantablack block

A block that is completely solid black, for dark, featureless surfaces in a build.

  4. Redstone control

Redstone power turns the sky block and void block off, so their effects are not always active.
