Limited Life

Limited Life is distributed as a data pack on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and is the Limited Life mod for 1.21.1 across the 1.20.5 – 1.21.1 range. The timer is stored in scoreboard ticks, with 72000 ticks counting as one hour, so a player can be given an extra hour by adding that amount to their time. Setting the time to a value such as 1H30M is also possible. Server owners drive the game with function commands: a function starts the Grian's Limited Life setup, pauses and unpauses the timers, and can be run as a book the moderators receive, which adds every online player to the game.

Some players join late or leave the game, so the mod includes commands to add a player to a running game through a tag and an execute command. A revive command resets a dead player's timer, and a trigger gift lets players who are not operators give a portion of their time to the nearest player within 30 minutes. The server life series mode can also be paused and resumed at will.

Only the server needs the mod to run the game, and players can join without installing it. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
