Liminal Chickens adds a dimension of unbreakable hallways filled with chickens, reached through an egg-based path that players build themselves.

What it does

The dimension is mostly made of unbreakable hallways, with some breakable blocks scattered through them. To get out, a player has to locate a hidden opening in the upper part of a wall, raise a column through it, and then cross to the next section. Hay bales and farmland with water seeds are part of the setup. The mod describes its atmosphere as dimly lit corridors and unsettling sounds, with jumpscares and disturbing imagery in the content.

The mod is a NeoForge build for 1.21.1 only. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Dynamic lighting support is offered as an optional dependency. Madketplace X Liminal Chickens requires it. The license is Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0, which means the mod is not open source.

Aren't chickens the most important, crucial and mysterious mobs in all of Minecraft? What are they? Where do they come from? Where do the despawn off to? Apparently to a dark, randomly generated, endless maze.
