LIMBO Dimension Datapack brings a dimension inspired by the LIMBO game into a world, with its own biomes, structures and survival challenge.
What it does
The datapack adds a new atmospheric dimension to Minecraft, themed on the LIMBO game. It has nine biomes, mysterious huts and a large dungeon, along with many smaller structures. Players reach the dimension by creating a new world with a Bonus Chest that holds Essence of LIMBO, or by finding Essence in end city chests elsewhere. Some gear can only be obtained inside the dimension, so the content can be used at the start of a world or later in the endgame.
The datapack is built for survival play and suits singleplayer as well as servers. Optional ambient sounds are available through the LIMBO Dimension Sounds mod and a resource pack adds music. Server owners can use the limbo:tp limbo command to let players travel to the dimension at any time. Because the server is required and the client is optional, only the server needs the datapack for the world content to work. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and the datapack is also available as a data pack. The mod is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license and is not open source, though its source code and issue tracker are public.
