Lia's media Player
by Lia1
Lia's Media Player lets players open pictures, GIFs, audio and video links inside Minecraft, and the chat shows them as short colored labels instead of raw URLs.
What it does
Chat links to images, GIFs, audio and video are replaced with short colored labels. A gold label marks a picture, a gold GIF label marks an animated image, and a green underlined label marks audio from services such as SoundCloud, Bandcamp and other audio hosts. Hovering a picture label shows a preview right above the cursor, and the image is fetched on first hover and kept ready so it appears instantly afterward. Animated GIFs play in the preview, and Tenor pages are resolved to the real animated GIF behind them.
Clicking a label opens the media in a window that can be dragged anywhere on screen, resized from the bottom-right corner while holding Ctrl, zoomed with the mouse wheel, hidden behind small corner buttons, or pinned as its own small window so the picture stays up while the player keeps playing or chatting. Alt-clicking a video link plays only the audio in a compact audio bar. Standard PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF and BMP files work out of the box.
The mod is a client-side only utility, so servers run without it and players install it alone. It requires Fabric API and the optional Mod Menu integration is available. Files target Minecraft 1.21.1 and game versions up to 26.3 on Fabric and NeoForge, and the code is not open source, although its source is public.

How it compares
ImageLib is a Fabric and NeoForge library, client-side only, released under the MIT License and open source, so it suits mods that display images rather than chat links. Chat Remastered is a Fabric mod for 1.21 – 26.2 that runs on client and server, and is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only. VibeShare is a NeoForge mod for 1.21.1 with a client and server environment, and its Creative Commons license is not open source.
