ImageLib
by Kimiram
ImageLib is a client-side library that loads images and GIFs from the internet for other mods to display.
What it does
Other mods can call ImageLib to fetch a picture from a web address and show it in the game, including animated GIFs. Every image source is a URL, so a mod that depends on the library needs a working internet connection to load remote images. Resizing fits an image or GIF into a set area while keeping its proportions. The project includes an example mod that shows the calls in use. It is open source under the MIT License, and Notes is the one catalog mod listed as requiring it. Builds exist for Fabric and NeoForge across the 1.21.1 – 26.3 range.
Key features
Remote image loading
Pictures are read from internet addresses, so the displayed content can change without a new install.
Animated GIF support
GIF files are loaded as animations and play frame by frame inside the client.
Proportional resizing
An image or GIF can be scaled to fit a given area while its aspect ratio stays the same.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
