Leap adds an enchantment to Forge and NeoForge that lets the boots it is applied to perform a double jump while the player is falling.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.19.3 – 26.1.2

What it does

The Leap enchantment is exclusive to boots and can only reach one level. It is obtained the same way as other treasure enchantments, from loot chests, fishing and librarian trades, so a player does not need to craft it. Once the boots carry it, a second jump is available at any moment the player is moving downward, which lets a fall be turned into an extra leap.

Leap belongs to a group of enchantment mods that all change how players move. It works alongside Step, so the same boots can carry both enchantments, and it does not need any other mod installed. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.19.3 – 26.1.2 and 1.2.1 for 26.1.2 as the latest NeoForge file.

Key features

  1. Double jump enchantment

Boots with the Leap enchantment allow a second jump in mid-air, triggered whenever the player is moving downward.

  2. Single enchantment level

Leap exists only at level one, so every pair of boots gets the same double jump.

  3. Treasure enchantment sources

The enchantment can be found in loot chests and from fishing, and librarians can offer it as a trade.

  4. Translation support

The project asks volunteers to translate the mod, and translators are credited on the project page.
