LavaDrive adds lava-themed armor, smithing upgrade templates and ores that are found deeper in the overworld, with a lava-based blessing for players who wear the full set.
What it does
LavaDrive adds a Lava armor series. Wearing the full set grants a blessing that is meant to help players move through and work around lava, and the armor also improves resistance to its heat. Crafting the armor and using it is the core of the mod, and the Netherite smithing table is upgraded to work with the new Lava armor series.
The mod introduces an upgrade template that is found in chests in treasure rooms, bastion remnants and similar structures. Duplicating a template works the same way as for the vanilla templates, but the duplication uses new ores. Those ores generate at a slightly lower rate than diamonds, deeper in the overworld, around y -30 and below.
Installation needs Architectury API and Fabric API on Fabric. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. LavaDrive is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric and Forge across 7 release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.21.1.

Better Smithing Template is a Forge and NeoForge mod that covers 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 and is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, with the client and server environment. Craftable Smithing Templates works on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.20 – 1.21.10, but it is server required and client optional, and it is not open source under All rights reserved. Magma Vision is Fabric-only for 1.20 – 1.21.5, open source under the MIT License, and either side can run it, and neither needs it.
