Laicaps is a NeoForge space exploration mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that takes players through three planets, each with a separate sky, terrain and wildlife.
What it does
Laicaps is an alpha fantasy space exploration mod. Players look through a telescope to find new planets, then travel to three distinct worlds that can be explored at their own pace while gathering materials and knowledge. The mod emphasizes adventure, environmental storytelling and atmosphere, with ruins left by earlier inhabitants on a peaceful earth-like planet that invite players to solve puzzles and uncover what came before.
Each planet has its own character. Lush forests and glowing wildlife make a gentle first destination, Lunamar is a vast ocean world locked to an endless night with peaceful bioluminescent marine life, and Ember Coming is a volatile volcanic planet cloaked in ash that is hard to cross because of hostile creatures. An entry-based in-game guide appears as players progress and expands on each planet's features.
The mod is open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are published for NeoForge 1.21.1 only, with 0.3 as the latest file, released on 2025-08-24 on the alpha channel.
