Koil
by Koil
With Koil installed, a player can run supported GGUF language models on their own computer from inside Minecraft, and the mod manages the model files and local runtime.
What it does
Koil is an experimental technical mod for developers, creators and power users. It brings tools that usually live outside the game into Minecraft: local AI models, automation, file editing, instance inspection, content management, performance debugging, LaTeX rendering in chat and a way to build custom automation with Kotlin Trait Language (KTL). Models are fetched and installed through the game, and Koil handles the local runtime and model configuration, including hardware recommendations and setup guidance.
Normal conversations let the model ask, talk and act on the selected local model, with streamed responses and conversation context kept between messages. Automation Mode lets compatible local models call the mod's registered tools rather than only generating text, so a model can carry out tasks inside the game. The mod is open source under the MIT License, and it requires Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin. It runs on the client and the server, and files exist for Fabric and Quilt for 1.20.1.
