Kaleidoscope Cookery: Satiated Shield Tuner
by ShrHang
Kaleidoscope Cookery Satiated Shield Tuner lets server owners adjust the Satiated Shield effect from Kaleidoscope Cookery, which has to be installed alongside it.
What it does
The tuner gives server owners a set of configurable options for the Satiated Shield effect, so the intensity of the effect can be set to match a server's balance and the preferences of its players. It needs the Kaleidoscope Cookery mod and is built to work with its features integrated into the tuning.
Installation is server side only, so players join without installing anything. Server owners can change the options either in game or through the server configuration file in the config folder. The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and is released under a custom license that is not open source.
Key features
Toggle the tuner
A switch decides whether the Satiated Shield tuner is enabled, and the whole configuration is disabled when it is off.

An option turns off the hunger effect that the Satiated Shield effect normally applies to a player, when enabled.
Minimum food level
A minimum hunger value sets how full a player must be before the Satiated Shield effect takes effect.

When the Satiated Shield Weakness Kaleidoscope Compat mod is present, its effects take precedence over the tuned ones.

Use cases
Balancing a survival server
Server owners who find the effect too cheap to obtain can raise the minimum food level or lower its intensity to suit the pace of play.
Relaxing the effect
Owners who want the effect to matter less for players can disable the hunger effect or reduce its strength.
Who it’s for: Server owners who run Kaleidoscope Cookery and want to adjust how strong the Satiated Shield effect is, without editing the mod that provides it.
How it compares
LightShield is a Forge and NeoForge mod for 1.20.1 – 1.20.4, a client and server environment under All rights reserved, and not open source. Better Loot Zibura is server-side only, published for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 under the MIT License, and not open source. Both change different parts of a server rather than tuning the Satiated Shield effect.

What the author says
This mod only works with Kaleidoscope Cookery from 1.1.0 to 1.2.1 version, as later versions of Kaleidoscope Cookery have integrated this mod's features. Satiated Shield is a effect in Kaleidoscope Cookery, it is cheap to obtain but has powerful effects, which makes players who care about game balance very frustrated.
