ItemFinder
by FadhlanPutra
ItemFinder lets players search for an item across every nearby storage container, then highlights the matching containers in the world.
What it does
A single keypress opens the search screen while the game keeps running in the background. A typed keyword fills a grid of matching item icons, and clicking one icon selects it for an exact search. Pressing Enter starts the scan, which can also be set to find any container holding anything that matches the keyword. Partial names work, so typing oak returns oak logs, planks and slabs in one pass.
Matching containers glow yellow in the world, and particles stream toward each one so the route is visible. A HUD line shows the item name and distance. Results can also be sent to the GUI or to chat, and opening a highlighted container clears the list. Every setting can be changed in-game or by editing the config files, and changes save automatically. A search language toggle switches between English item IDs and the game's display language.
Installation requires Fabric API. Mod Menu is optional and gives access to the config screen. ItemFinder is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric across six release versions, 1.21.5 – 26.3, with the latest file, 1.0.1, targeting 26.1.1. Either side can run it, and neither needs it, so it works on a client, a server or both.
Key features
Item search screen
A keypress opens a grid of item icons that updates as the keyword is typed, and an exact item can be chosen by clicking its icon.
Scan for matches
The scan finds every container that holds an item matching the keyword, so the search covers the whole storage area at once.
Glowing container highlights
Matching containers glow yellow in the world and emit particles that point toward them, making them simple to find.
Distance and location HUD
A heads-up display shows the name and distance of the found item, and results can also be printed to chat.
In-game configuration
Every option can be edited from the game or in the config files, and the config panel closes once settings are saved.

How it compares
Storage Finder is client-side only, open source under the MIT License and published for Fabric 26.1.2 – 26.2, so it covers fewer versions than ItemFinder. Inventory/Container Search+ is also client-side only and open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, with Fabric files for 1.21.4 – 26.2. Chest Radar is the only one of these that runs on both client and server, under the Apache License 2.0, and it targets 1.21.11 alone.
