Inventory Scale
Inventory Scale lets players set the scaling of inventory and container screens separately from the overall GUI scale, on Fabric for 1.20 – 1.21.8.
What it does
Inventory Scale changes how inventory and container screens are sized, without touching the GUI scale that applies to the rest of the interface. A player can make chests and crafting screens larger or smaller while menus and HUD elements stay where they were. It is a client-side change, so a server does not need it and players can join a server without installing it.
The mod pairs with the Better Screens mod, which the author names as the way to customize container scaling independently of the GUI scale. Other interface mods that read the inventory size can break when this mod is active, so a player who runs several of them should test the combination. The code is adapted from DulkirMod-Fabric and released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
Installation requires Fabric API, Mod Menu and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL). Files cover 13 release versions, and the latest Fabric file is 1.2.7 for 1.21.8, published on 2025-06-23. The mod was first published on 2024-07-30.
Key features
Independent container scaling
Inventory and container screens take their own scale value, so the rest of the interface keeps the global GUI scale.
Configuration screen
Options are edited through YetAnotherConfigLib, which the mod requires, and are saved between sessions.
Better Screens integration
The mod works alongside Better Screens, which provides the container scaling behavior it customizes.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want to size inventory screens on their own. Players who use other interface mods should check that they work together before relying on the setup.
How it compares
CrispScale is a Fabric client mod released under the MIT License, covering 1.21.11 – 26.2, so it targets newer versions than this mod. GUI Slider is also client-side and Fabric-only for 1.20 – 26.2, but its license is All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Simple GUI changer is an open source Fabric client mod under the MIT License for 1.21 – 1.21.8, a range that overlaps this mod on the newest versions.

What the author says
Inventory scale is now unmaintained. 1.21.5 is the last version to work without any known vanilla issues. TL;DR - use Better Screens! Inventory Scale changes the way Scale works in a mod incompatible way. Mods have no way of knowing the inventory is being scaled and so many flat out break when this mod is enabled…
