Inspectability
by LunazStudios
Inspectability is a client-side mod that lets a player view any item model in a 3D screen, with the model turnable by mouse.
What it does
The client-side viewer shows an item model at a closer, more detailed view. A player can rotate, zoom and reposition the model with the mouse, and adjust its scale and offset. Texture artists, model makers and content creators use it to check how items look when testing resource packs or mods, and it also works on modded items.
Architectury API is required on both loaders. The mod is published for Fabric and NeoForge across nine release versions, and only the client needs it, so a server does not have to install anything. Inspectability is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public. The first release came out on 2024-10-09 and the latest on 2025-07-24.
Key features
3D item inspector
A screen shows an item model in 3D, giving a closer view of its details than the inventory icon.
Mouse-controlled viewing
Rotation, position and zoom respond to the mouse, so the model can be turned to any angle.
Scale and offset adjustment
The scale, rotation and offset of the displayed model can be changed to frame it as needed.
Modded item support
The viewer opens modded items as well as vanilla ones, provided their item model is available to the client.

Video and screenshots
Content creators can show an item model from several angles for a video or a modpack showcase.
Who it’s for: Texture artists, model makers, content creators and players who want to look closely at item details. The mod does not change gameplay; the inspector is an optional cosmetic viewer.
How it compares
Small View Model is open source under the MIT License, client-side only, and published for Fabric across a wider span, 1.19.4 – 1.21.11. Zoomi is also open source under the MIT License and runs on the client alone, for Fabric. gadget is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, runs on Fabric and Quilt, and works on either side, and neither side needs it.
