Impillagers reworks swamps with a new native tree, wood and mud block sets, sinking mud, belladonna and a set of trader mobs called Impillagers.
What it does
The mod overhauls swamp biomes. Swamps gain their own tree type, Purple Heart, which grows larger than standard oak and produces vines, leaves and a full purple wood set. Mud blocks get an expanded set, and a new Dung block set adds dung bricks. Sinking mud forms along the water's edge in swamps, and most entities that step onto it begin to sink, so travelers through the boggiest parts should bring leather boots.
Other additions include firefly bushes that light up swamps at night and can be captured in a bottle for release elsewhere, belladonna, a poisonous flower that is crafted into purple dye, and swamp reeds that grow in dense groups in shallow water. The mod also adds three unique trader professions among the Impillagers, a Dung Golem, and an expansive list of new items. Both Fabric and NeoForge are supported. Fabric API is required on Fabric, Forgified Fabric API on NeoForge, and Sinytra Connector is required as well, while Continuity is optional. The server and every player need the mod installed.

How it compares
Fireflies is a Fabric-only client and server mod under the MIT License, published for 1.21.4, so it does not cover the 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 builds of Impillagers. Ribbits runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 and is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, but it targets frogs rather than swamps. Muddy World is a Fabric mod for 1.20.1 – 26.2 that is not open source.
