Immersive Fluids

by SirWashington

Immersive Fluids makes water finite and simulates its flow using a discrete, level-based fluid model.

FabricForgeClient and serverGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.18.2 – 1.21.1

What it does

Immersive Fluids is a fork of Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) with a fully reworked simulation, so water follows a level-based flow model with more advanced logic. Performance optimisation work is ongoing, and further features are planned for later. It runs on Fabric and Forge across five game versions, 1.18.2 – 1.21.1, and is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, so the server and every player need it.

Key features

  1. Finite water

Water sources have a limited amount of fluid, so flow is bounded instead of endless.

  2. Level-based flow

Water moves through a discrete, level-based simulation that decides how fluid spreads across blocks.

  3. Optimisation work

The author has put effort into optimising the simulation, with more performance improvements planned.

What the author says

This mod makes it so water follows a discrete level-based fluid simulation. Many more features and performance improvements to come in the future. The mod is a fork of Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO), but completely revamped, with more advanced simulation logic, and significant efforts put towards optimisation.
