Illager Raid Music
by arcanealloy
Illager Raid Music changes the background soundtrack during an illager raid, so a village attack plays its own song range for Forge and NeoForge.
What it does
The mod adds a dedicated song range that plays when an illager raid starts, replacing the ordinary background music for the duration of the attack. Once the raid ends, the usual music resumes. Its files are published for Forge and NeoForge across the 1.16.5 – 26.1.2 range, with the latest NeoForge file built for 26.1.2.
Environment is client and server, so players and the server both need the mod. A server that runs it without the client part gains nothing for the music itself. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. It was first published on 2024-02-03 and last updated on 2026-04-24, and it is listed in the Adventure category with Game mechanics and Utility as secondary categories.

Use cases
Village defense
Players who defend a village from illager raids hear a distinct track as the attack begins.
Modded packs
Pack builders on Forge or NeoForge can add the raid soundtrack without a separate music mod.
Who it’s for: Players and server owners running Forge or NeoForge who want the music to change during illager raids. The mod suits survival worlds where raids are a regular event.
How it compares
The Immersive Music Mod is a client-side only mod for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and it covers 1.18.2 – 1.21.11. Combat Music is client-side only as well, open source under the MIT License, and built for Forge and NeoForge across 1.16.5 – 1.20.1. Illager Raid Music is client and server and is not open source, so the server must run it alongside every player.
