IconButtons API

by Trivait

IconButtons is a Fabric library that lets other mods place buttons in the title and pause menus without manual coordinates.

What it does

Other mods call the API's main class to add AbstractWidget elements such as buttons and sliders to the Minecraft title and pause menus. Buttons are grouped into menu rows, and the API arranges them in a neat row so the author does not have to specify X and Y positions. Developers must declare the dependency in fabric.mod.json so Fabric Loader verifies it at runtime. The mod is client-side only and is open source under the MIT License, with files for 26.2 and 26.3.

Key features

  1. Automatic positioning

The API calculates positions for registered buttons and arranges them automatically in a row.

  2. Title and pause menus

Widgets can be added to the Minecraft title screen and the pause menu through one entry point.

  3. Dynamic visibility

Buttons stay registered, and a BooleanSupplier controls whether each one is shown at a given moment.

What the author says

The main entry point of the API is the IconButtons class. It provides methods to easily add any AbstractWidget (like buttons, sliders, etc.) to the Minecraft Title Screen or Pause Menu rows. You can register buttons to stay visible permanently or control their visibility dynamically using a BooleanSupplier.
