Better HUD widgets
by USeAr3658
Better HUD widgets lets players build their own HUD from draggable, resizable widgets, with a grid-based layout and a built-in undo.
What it does
Each widget can be moved, resized and styled individually, for example by size or background. Armor, potions, speed, coordinates, biome, hunger and several more widgets are included. A preview appears while a widget is dragged, so the editing screen stays out of the way, and Ctrl+Z reverses a mistaken move. Snap alignment places widgets on a grid, and holding Shift keeps them pixel-perfect. Hidden widgets can be removed from the screen entirely, and a layout can be saved, switched and shared with friends in one click.
The mod runs on the client only, so only the player who uses it needs it installed; servers do not. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files covering 1.16.4 – 26.3, and is released under the MIT License, which is not open source. Fabric has the latest file, 4.0 for 26.3, while Forge's most recent build is 3.3-BETA for 1.20.4 and NeoForge's is 3.3 for 1.21.1.
Key features
Draggable widgets

Use cases
Custom HUD for survival
A player can arrange status widgets such as hunger and armor around the edges of the screen and keep the center clear.
Shared server layouts
Players on the same server can exchange saved layouts to use the same arrangement.
Who it’s for: Players who want a tidier or more personal HUD. Because the mod is client-side, it needs no installation on the server.
How it compares
BoxHud is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and is client-side, with files for 1.20.5 – 26.1.2 across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. Quick Widgets is also client-side and is released under the MIT License, but it is Fabric-only and covers 1.20.1 – 26.3, the same span as this mod's Fabric files.
