Hitbox Reveal

by lwkSlick

Hitbox Reveal draws each enemy's hitbox in the game world, colored by the combat context of the moment, so a player can see when a punch will land.

What it does

The mod shows enemy hitboxes while a fight is happening and changes their color from one of three states. A default target is marked as being in normal range, a close target inside a configured danger zone is marked separately, and a target that is airborne with the attack cooldown full is marked as crit-ready. The colors make the crit window visible at a glance without reading any numbers.

Hitbox Reveal runs on Fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11 only, with the file 1.0.10 for 1.21.11 as the latest release. It is client-side only, so servers and other players do not need it, and it is released under the MIT License; its source code is public. YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) is required, and Mod Menu is optional for opening the settings screen from the menu list.

Key features

  1. Color-coded hitboxes

Enemy hitboxes are colored by distance and by whether a crit is ready, so the state of each target is visible in the world.

  2. Adjustable danger zone

The distance that marks a close target can be set in the configuration, so the warning range fits the player's own fighting style.

  3. Gradient and corner outlines

Hitbox faces can be filled with a smooth top-to-bottom gradient, and the outline can be drawn as corner brackets instead of full edges.

  4. Pulsing and fading

Opacity can pulse at an adjustable speed, and a hitbox fades out once its timer runs out after a hit.
