HideName (Nick), Nickname & Player Health - Minecraft Mod
by pickleakin
HideName, also listed as Nick, adds custom nicknames and name prefixes, and can show player health, for players and server owners on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge.
What it does
Players can set a custom nickname and a prefix shown above their character. A key press hides player names entirely, and pressing it again brings them back. Health is shown for nearby players on request, so a group can see how each member is doing without opening any menu.
Client-side use is enough for a single player to get the nickname and name-hiding controls. Servers can run the mod as well, and either side can run it while neither needs it. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 34 release versions, 1.10 – 26.2, under All rights reserved, and it is not open source. Files for 1.18.2 and 1.21 carry the latest Forge and NeoForge builds.

Use cases
Group play on a server
Members of a party can use nicknames and see each other's health without reading chat or using commands.
Screenshots and recordings
Hiding names with a single key keeps other players' tags out of a shot.
Who it’s for: Players who want nicknames and name tags under their own control, and server owners who want an optional client-side layer that works alongside the server.
