What it does

Mods on this build often need the same code for registering blocks and items, spawning entities, adding recipes and playing sounds. HalpLibe collects those routines in one library so that dependent mods can call them instead of carrying their own copies. It is named as a fork of Better Adventure's helper code, and its repository holds further development notes.

The library is required by 101 other catalog mods, including Lighty, DropConfirm, Catalyst, TLOTD and Signal Industries, so it is installed in any setup that runs one of them. Installation needs a specific MultiMC or Prism Launcher instance for b1.7.3; the author notes say the library runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The source code is published under CC0 1.0 Universal, which places the code in the public domain, and the issue tracker is public. Snapshot builds are also published.

Key features

  1. Shared block and item registration

Routines for adding blocks and items are provided once, so dependent mods can register content without their own copies.

  2. Entity and particle helpers

Functions for entities and particles are included, covering the common cases that mods on this build repeat.

  3. Recipe and sound functions

Helpers for adding recipes and playing sounds are available to any mod that depends on the library.

  4. Command support

Command handling is part of the library, so dependent mods can add commands through the same code path.

No per-version build data
Modrinth lists game versions for this project (b1.7.3), but the source data has no build per game version and loader, so the compatibility grid is not shown.

Use cases

Building a dependent mod

A developer targeting b1.7.3 can call the shared routines for blocks, items and entities instead of writing them from scratch.

Running a modded server

Server owners who install Lighty or Catalyst also install HalpLibe, since those mods depend on it.

Who it’s for: Mod developers building on the Babric loader for b1.7.3, and server owners and players who run catalog mods that depend on HalpLibe.
