Catalyst
Catalyst is a library for Minecraft Beta b1.7.3, split into core, fluids and energy modules that other mods build on.
What it does
Catalyst supplies miscellaneous utility classes that other mods use, and it provides a simpler way to create GUIs that work in multiplayer. Its modules are described separately, so a mod can depend on only the parts it needs. The core module is the base that the others depend on.
The fluids module extends the fluid storage and transport API. The energy module adds a simple energy API whose settings can be configured. Catalyst runs on both client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is published for Fabric, Babric and BTA Babric, and its only game version is b1.7.3. Snapshot builds are published as well. Catalyst requires HalpLibe and StationAPI. It is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public.

Use cases
Mod developers
Developers of Beta b1.7.3 mods can build on the core, fluids or energy modules instead of writing those systems from scratch.
Machine and pipe mods
Mods that move fluids or energy between blocks can use the shared APIs so their machines interoperate.
Who it’s for: Catalyst is aimed at developers who make mods for Minecraft Beta b1.7.3 and at players who run mods that depend on it. Players only install it when another mod requires it.
How it compares
Terminal is a Fabric and Babric library for b1.7.3 under the MIT License, and it is open source. Either side can run it, and neither needs it. NyaLib is also an MIT-licensed open source library for Fabric and Babric on b1.7.3, and both the server and every player must install it. Commander is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and targets BTA Babric on b1.7.3; installing it on one side is enough.
