TerrainAPI

by UselessBullets

TerrainAPI is a library for BTA on Babric that lets other mods add to and modify world generation through chunk decorator classes.

BTA BabricServer-side onlyCC0 1.0 UniversalOpen sourceb1.7.3

What it does

The library replaces the chunk decorator classes that BTA uses with a fresh implementation, so mods can add or change features and structures during world generation. It is built on a heavily modified version of Better Adventure for Minecraft b1.7.3, and it targets a modified Babric loader.

Its settings cover how many trees, ores, lakes and plants generate, along with the height range where ores appear. Server owners and players can change these values to shape the generated terrain, and some of the options are user configurable. TerrainAPI requires HalpLibe to run.

Only the server needs the mod, and players can join without installing it. The code is released under the CC0 1.0 Universal license and is open source, and the source code and issue tracker are public. Snapshot builds are published, and the first release dates from 2024-02-20, with the latest update on 2024-05-09.

Key features

  1. Tree densities

Density settings control how many trees generate in the world, so the amount of forest can be adjusted.

  2. Ore and spawn heights

Ore densities and ore spawn heights are configurable, which sets how common each ore is and where it appears.

  3. Lake and plant densities

Lake and plant density values adjust how often lakes and plant life are placed during generation.

  4. Chunk decorator API

A chunk decorator interface lets other mods add features and structures to BTA world generation.
