GreeterBro
Greeter Bro sends an automatic chat welcome to players when they join a Fabric server, with a randomized delay and a name placeholder.
What it does
Each time a player joins, the mod posts a greeting in chat. Messages can use a player% placeholder that is replaced with the joining player's name, and a separate message can be set for first-time joiners. Greetings are sent after a random delay inside a configurable time range, so they do not appear at the same instant every time. Players whose name changed are greeted again after the change, and a blacklist keeps chosen players from receiving any greeting.
The mod is configurable through a Mod Menu screen, and servers running Styled Chat can set custom join messages for each group. Greetings are suppressed while a player is marked as AFK, and a few in-game commands let administrators manage greetings without editing files.
Greeter Bro runs in the client-side only environment, so only the client needs it, and it is published for Fabric across 11 release versions, 1.21.5 – 26.3, under the MIT License. The code is open source, and public links to the source and the issue tracker are available.
