Goth Mod, by PierreCata, is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 that adds a joking set of meme-themed content to the Minecraft world, with a new ore, a purplish material called Burgundian, and a few mobs.
What it does
The additions are deliberately silly. Among them are an immortal snail, a set of goth and emo Hello Kitty characters, and a new ore that yields the Burgundian material. The author states that the mod should not be taken seriously, and that more content is planned for later builds.
The mod runs on the client and the server together, so both the server and every player need it. It is published only for Forge and only for Minecraft 1.20.1, under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, which means it is not open source. The latest file is 2.0-1.20.1, released on 2024-12-16 on the beta channel. The mod was first published on 2024-02-23 and last updated on the same date as its latest file.
The author warns that the balance of the added items and entities is not finished, and that some bugs occur. Because of this, the content is better understood as an experiment than as a complete addition to survival or adventure play.
