GoldenMaus's Copper Tools

by GoldenMaus

Early-game progression gets a copper tier in GoldenMaus's Copper Tools: a complete set of copper tools and armor that fills the gap between leather and iron.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.10

What it does

The mod adds a full set of copper tools and copper armor: a helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots, plus the tools needed to work with them. Crafting uses vanilla-style recipes that take copper ingots, and armor and tools can be broken down in a furnace to recover copper nuggets. Tags are included so datapacks and other mods can reference the new items.

The mod is built for Forge and NeoForge and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files cover game versions 1.20.1 – 1.21.10 across nine release versions, and the latest Forge build is 1.4.0 for 1.20.1 while the latest NeoForge build is 2.0.1 for 1.21.10. The code is not open source and the mod is released under All rights reserved, which also governs personal use, sharing and modification.

Key features

  1. Copper tool set

Copper pickaxes, axes, shovels, swords and hoes fill the gap between stone and iron tools early in a world.

  2. Copper armor

A helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots made of copper give protection between leather and iron.

  3. Furnace recycling

Copper tools and armor can be smelted back down, returning copper nuggets for reuse.

  4. Vanilla-style recipes

Every craft uses copper ingots in patterns that match the vanilla crafting layout.

  5. Datapack tags

Item tags for the copper tools and armor let datapacks and other mods reference them.
