Glowbrick's Printing Press Mod

by Glowbrick

Glowbrick's Printing Press Mod lets players copy enchanted books through a press block, using movable type and magic ink.

What it does

The mod adds a Printing Press that duplicates enchanted books. Its recipe uses paper, a piston, leather and two wooden fences, with an empty slot between three planks. Players first build movable type, which is made from leather, two iron ingots and six iron nuggets, and then assemble type blocks in a Typesetter from an enchanted book and movable type. Placing a type block in the press together with magic ink prints a copy of that book.

Magic ink comes from an ink bottle combined with a bottle o' enchanting and an enchanted book, while the ink bottle itself is a glass bottle with a black dye. The mod is published for NeoForge only, in version 1.21.1, and it was made for ModFest 1.21. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Its code is licensed under the MIT License and is open source; the source code and issue tracker are public.

  3. Magic ink chain

Magic ink is crafted from an ink bottle, a bottle o' enchanting and an enchanted book.

  4. Movable type

Movable type is crafted from leather, iron ingots and iron nuggets as the first step of the chain.
