GDMC HTTP Interface
by Niels-NTG
GDMC HTTP Interface opens a local HTTP server inside Minecraft so external programs on the same machine can read and write blocks while a world is loaded.
What it does
Once a world is open, the mod reports an HTTP connection at localhost:9000 in the chat. External applications and scripts can then send HTTP requests to that address to query or change the world, which is useful for procedural generation pipelines. The mod is aimed at the GDMC community, a group that builds settlement generators for the GDMC challenge.
Any programming language that can speak HTTP can drive the interface, and most include a suitable library. For testing, a tool such as Kreya, Yaak, HTTPie, cURL or wget can send requests by hand. The GDPC Python library is built for this purpose and is the usual choice for generator work. The interface also exposes a set of custom console commands in the game.
Installation needs Fabric API on the Fabric loader. Mod Menu is optional. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and it works on either side, so a server or a single-player client can run it while neither side needs it. Releases cover 1.19.2 – 1.21.11 under the MIT License, and the code is open source.
Key features
Local HTTP endpoints
While the HTTP interface is active, the game serves a set of endpoints on localhost:9000 for reading and writing blocks.
Custom console commands
A set of custom commands in the game complements the HTTP endpoints for controlling the interface.
Testing with ordinary tools
Requests can be tried with API clients such as Kreya, Yaak or HTTPie, or from a command line with cURL or wget.
Actively maintained
The project is developed with help from the GDMC community, and its source, issue tracker and wiki are public.

APIBlock is also a Fabric mod for client and server with an open source license, published for 1.21 – 1.21.11. Internet Redstone is a Fabric mod for client and server with All rights reserved, not open source, and covers 1.21 – 26.3. SInfo is server-side only, open source under the MIT License, and covers 1.19.3 – 1.20.1, so it is not aimed at external tool access.
